Floral Crook

Slightly spitting feathers here in the UK this evening.

I had one of those rather awkward flashes of crafty inspiration at the breakfast table this morning, which necessitated a rush home from work to try and put it into practice before the deadline at 5pm.

As I said last week I wanted to try and pair Viva la Verve sketches and Colour Me palettes this month. I managed, with five minutes to spare, but operator error resulted in me thinking I'd had a catastrophic computer failure. 30 minutes later I realised I'd done something slightly stupid, and my computer wasn't a brick after all, but the Colour Me deadline had passed me by.

Sorry, rant over. Not to be outdone after carefully cutting out a mask here is my speedy afternoon effort (can't have been more than 40 minutes start to finish, including cutting the mask, and fishing out the right colours of ink - Distress Shabby Shutters and Picked Raspberry)

To calm me down I'm going to do something I've never done before, and put a second entry into a couple of fab challenges.

Viva la Verve - May #3
Sweet Stampin' - Clean and Simple
Uniko #21 - Flowers (Belated Happy Birthday Bev - Hope it's OK to enter twice)

The one that got away: Colour Me! #71 Striking - Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzazz

  8. This is a really pretty and elegant card Claire and I love this Clarity stamp and the beautiful banner and sentiment. The double wiggly line has worked so well. I have seen Barbara Gray do this but have not been brave enough to try it yet. I know what you mean about rushing to meet a challenge deadline and everything going wrong and how frustrating it is, it has happened to me a lot .lol. x
